Jennifer is a trained chef who aims to couple her love of food, and all it can represent, with community nutrition education programs focused on building healthier lifestyles. She obtained her training from the Le Cordon Bleu culinary academy in Pasadena, Ca. “Chef Jenny” worked with The Network for a Healthier California as a nutrition education manager promoting healthier lifestyles through classroom cooking lessons, parent education and leading a student based nutrition advisement council. Her work incorporating kid friendly, healthy recipes and California Health Education Content Standards in local classrooms landed her on the front page of the Pasadena Star during a fun, but objective based nutrition lesson breaking down the main concepts associated with MyPlate to a room full of 3rd graders. Jennifer is a certified Sport’s Nutritionist and a member of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and The California Dietetic Association. She is currently attending California Polytechnic University of Pomona as a student in the dietetics program with the goal of becoming a Registered Dietician.
